Ashview Cattery - Boarding Cattery Licence No: 24/00348/ANBORD
COVID 19 Operating Procedures
We are operating in line with DEFRA’s guidelines for cattery boarding regarding COVID 19.If you or any member of your household are experiencing COVID 19 symptoms please do not come to the cattery but do get in touch with us via email or telephone.
The Cats
Here at Ashview Cattery we want to ensure we provide the safest and most enjoyable environment for your cats when they stay with us. With that in mind please note the following:
Cats need to be transported to us in a secure, escape-proof carrier. We will store the carrier during your pet’s stay. Cats that are prone to travel accidents we suggest lining the carrier with newspaper / disposable towels and we will take care of the rest.
Vaccinations
All cats must be inoculated or had a booster against cat flu, enteritis and preferably feline leukaemia within the last 12 months. We will need to see an up to date Vets inoculation certificate on arrival, as this is part of our licensing conditions.
NOTE: We cannot board any cat without this document.
Cats and kittens that are having their first set of injections need to have both vaccinations before boarding. There is usually 14 days before this is effective so please allow for this when booking.
A refund will not be made for bookings that can't go ahead due to incorrect vaccinations.
Your Cats Medical History & Health
We encourage you to share your cat’s medical history with us. As it helps us to provide the best care possible for them.
Any cats suffering from or suspected to be suffering from an infectious or contagious disease will not be accepted and fees will not be refunded
Flea & Worms - Pest Control
Every effort is made to keep Ashview Catter flea and worm free. Please ensure that your cat is up to date with a veterinary prescribed flea treatment. Over the counter or internet purchased products are not acceptable due to their low success rate. If your cat is found to have fleas or worms whilst boarding with us this will incur a £30 charge for a deep chalet clean plus the treatment costs. We will make every effort to contact you or your emergency contact before treatment takes place. However, if contact cannot be made we will proceed with treatment in line with a vets guidance.
NOTE: By boarding your cat/s with us you are accepting this condition.
Un-Neutered Cats
Unneutered cats over the age of six months are not accepted at Ashview Cattery
Holding Pens
At peak times we may need to place your cat in a holding pen whilst we prepare the chalet between runs. This will only be when necessary and for no more than 2 hours.
Cats Sharing
Cats from the same household can be boarded together. However, we reserve the right to separate cats from the same household if we feel it necessary for their health and wellbeing. If cats from the same household need to be separated a further chalet will be required and the cost of the extra chalet will apply.
Toys & Enrichment
We will provide suitable toys and enrichment for your cat during their stay at Ashview Cattery to include, catnip toys, interactive toys, cardboard boxes, food dispenser toys and scratch posts.
You are welcome to bring your own items. However, please do not bring anything that could be a choking hazard such as hairbands, string type toys etc.
NOTE: Please inform us in writing if you would prefer your cat did not have access to these cattery provisions.
Vet Calls & General Care
It goes without saying that we will take every care with your animals but you do leave your pets with us at your own risk. By accepting these terms you are authorising us to call a vet on your behalf should we consider it necessary.
